An Old Town option for your Tempe crew
Tempe has its own identity around Arizona State University and Tempe Town Lake, both highlighted by Tempe Tourism. When your group wants to make Scottsdale the destination for a night out, Rack offers a game-centered plan at one Old Town address.
This isn't a listing for a pool hall in Tempe. Rack is in Scottsdale, so give everyone the same address before leaving. That matters when friends are coming from different parts of the Valley or deciding where to meet for the first time.
Watch a game, then play your own
Rack's homepage lists sports including the Sun Devils, Suns, Cardinals and Premier League on TV. Ten pool tables and electronic darts give your group something to do alongside the broadcast. A sports visit can be about both the team you're watching and the friendly competition at your own table.
If a particular match is the reason you're coming from Tempe, call (480) 476-1035 first. A general sports listing doesn't guarantee that a specific broadcast will be available or that a table will be free at kickoff.

Sunday football has an earlier start
Rack opens at 10 AM Sunday, with Football Sunday Brunch listed from 10 AM to 2 PM. The listed brunch specials include $29 bottomless bloodys and mimosas, a $30 champagne bottle, and an $11 breakfast burrito or plate. Industry Night is also listed Sunday from opening to closing, with half off the entire bill for service-industry employees.
Check the weekly events for the recurring schedule. For non-Sunday plans, Tuesday trivia starts at 7 PM, and Friday and Saturday DJs run from 8 PM to 2 AM. Choose a day around the activity your group actually wants.
Plan the cost of the pool part
Standard daytime pool costs $8 per hour until 7 PM. After 7 PM it is $15 per hour Sunday through Thursday and $18 per hour Friday and Saturday. Wednesday through Friday lunch has a $5 per hour special from 11:30 AM to 4 PM. Diamond table rates are separate, so look at the table type as well as the day.
Food choices include burgers, wings, pizza, tacos and shareables. The menu lets your group review food and drinks before settling on the evening, rather than relying on a general sports-bar description.
Is Rack an option for an ASU alumni gathering?
You can send a party request for an alumni get-together just as you would for a birthday or a group night out. Rack isn't presented here as an ASU-affiliated venue, and we don't advertise a student discount. Tell the team the group size, requested date and time, and wait for confirmation.
What about age rules and getting back to Tempe?
Rack is 21+ after 7 PM. Before 7 PM, guests under 21 must be accompanied by an adult. Plan transportation to and from the Scottsdale address, especially if your evening includes alcohol. The directions below show the destination; travel times vary with your starting point and conditions.
Set a meeting time for the whole crew
Groups of eight or more should call ahead. Send your party details for a planned outing, or check the Arizona-time hours below before heading over from Tempe.
